Housing and Design 120

Open to students in grade 11 or 12

Description:

Housing and Interior Design 120 is designed to show the relationship between different types of housing and the housing needs of individuals, families and communities. The influences of cultural, psychological and aesthetic aspects of housing are examined. The value of creativity and individuality in a living environment is an important element of the course. Course topics span factors including housing in various cultures, historical and modern trends in housing and lifestyles needs, financial and legal costs and requirements, basic floor plans and arrangements, plus the principles and elements of design.

Special Note:

This course would be of interest to students interested in the field of architectural design, drafting or home economics.
